Christmas Cakes

Miss Laura Spicer has been teaching Design Engineering at King’s since 2012. Along with her passion for all things Design Engineering, a lot of her students will also know that she loves to bake. After many requests from friends and family for cakes and sweet treats, in lockdown Miss Spicer began turning her passion into a little home bakery business.

She is based in Twickenham, and loves creating and decorating delicious cakes and sweet treats. She has created large projects such as wedding cakes and also loves surprising lucky recipients when posting her letterbox brownies.

We are thrilled to have Miss Spicer back again as a stall-holder at the fair this year, with many divinities available to purchase. And now, for the first time, you can pre-order Miss Spicer’s home-made Christmas cake which will be ready to pick up at her stall at the Christmas Fair.

All orders must be placed before midnight on Sunday 6th November.

Orders will be ready for collection at Laura’s Cakes’ stand (next to the Dining Hall) at the Christmas Fair on Saturday 26th November, between 11am and 4pm.

The Christmas Cake

Each cake is rich and indulgent, containing molasses, sultanas, currants, raisins, glacé cherries, almonds, a twist of orange and festive spices. Once baked, the cake is fed regularly with brandy, covered in marzipan, iced and hand decorated in a festive pattern.
